I'm working hard on Galaxide because I love making games and shmups are, obviously, my favorite genre. But the next game won't be a shmup. I got so many ideas and if the development of games weren't so time consuming, I'd finish them already, all of them.

I was also surprised to see Softpedia including videos of Galaxide. I got email from them just few hours after each video was posted on my site. This is very unusual, as they included zero of my 3-4 videos of Invader Attack (as far as I know). Plus I'm getting feedback from people who haven't purchased Invader Attack saying how awesome the Galaxide video looks. Imagine that, unreleased game getting so much attention. I must be on the right track this time.

This is highly unusual as there's no AI in the Galaxide, why would there be an AI in the game where vessels spend 2-3 second on the screen? Invader Attack has a sophisticated and challenging artificial intelligence. It makes sense as those invaders are there during most of the level. They can work together conspiring against you, some are smarter, some dumber. Dumber may bring confusion causing smarter to behave unpredictably and vice-versa. And as AI learns your moves and strategies it improves itself as you progress further. This hasn't been done before in any similar game and was one of the goals. Bringing AI into Invader Attack should have been the absolute winner, the game is fun and becomes very challenging later on. Casual player should be thrilled with it as well as non-casual.

What I wanted to say, but came out the wrong way or not at all in the previous post, is that Galaxide will be a much less sophisticated game than Invader Attack. Not having AI makes development much simpler. Of course, if more effort is being put in gameplay, graphics and music, the time needed for development could be even greater. Too bad people don't see Invader Attack's originality, having artificial intelligence in the game, having physics in the game is fun and challenging. If gamers don't want none of those, its decided ... no more AI or physics. Its probably better that way, because I sucked in physics anyway ... and in math too.
