VertiBlox 2 is an original 3D puzzle action game with blocks. Blocks are falling onto the platform. The laws of physics do apply, so it might take some time for you to understand how to make a chain reaction for example, which can make a difference since it brings extra score, called combo bonus, but more of that later on. If you didn't like the predecessor, you will definitely love this game which brings more rules and more challenges along the way. Rules are fully described in the instructions section of the game, but will cover them briefly here. Graphical representation of the rules is included inside tha game. Blocks are falling in groups of 3 and you can rearrange them as they fall down onto the platform. Your goal is to arrange them in a way that will bring a match of 3 or more blocks of the same type, when they land. You can match just about any combination of 3 or more blocks of the same type, whether they're aligned horizontally, vertically or diagonally. You can even chain matches making combo bonuses if you manage to do that. The more chains the more combo bonuses and larger combo bonus score. Basically, when you remove 3 or more blocks from the platform by making a match, you will leave gaps inside the structure of the blocks. The remaining blocks obey laws of physics and will fall down until they reach the blocks that are beneath them. This could lead to more matches and this is what chaining matches is all about. This brings a certain level of planing and strategy into the gameplay. If you manage to chain several of matches you will be able to earn extra 10 points per chain level. If you make just one chain you will earn 10, but if you make two chains for example you will earn 30 (10 for the first chain and 20 for the second) and so on. This can really help you make a nice score and stand out on the leader-board table. I listened to your likes and dislikes of the predecessor and tried to implement all the features you wanted. Eye-candy special effects included as well. The game is made for Flash 11 aka Stage3D or Molehill with more space to maneuver, more combinations to make, more thinking to do and the controls are now moved fully to keyboard. You move platform with arrow keys, you drop falling blocks with down arrow and arrange them with the upper arrow while they're falling down. The up arrow arranges the blocks by moving top block to the bottom, bottom block to the middle and middle block becomes top and this is repeated for all subsequent clicks. If you're casual and looking for something simple, this is not the game for you, you should play VertiBlox instead which is played with the mouse. The game features fast action with puzzle elements, nice looking graphics and effects, nice tune. I may improve the game further and the game might be released in the flash games licenses section, but as of this writing the game is still not stable enough and is considered to be a release candidate as I just fixed all the bugs that were noticed and upgraded the status from beta to RC1.

This version of VertiBlox 2 is a lightweight version to minimize the loading time and the bandwidth. As such, it contains graphics and music of the lower quality, lesser number of levels and features. There is a chance that an enhanced PC game could be released, based on VertiBlox 2, in the future. You must have Flash player 10 plugin, or later, for your browser installed to play the game without any problems. You can't play the game without Flash player installed. Recommended browsers are FireFox, Google Chrome, Opera.
